A Word from the President
Evangelical Theological Seminary of India is a unique theological institution
incorporating a special concept in theological education. We seek to
provide academic excellence alongside sound practical applicational
opportunities. ETS is not just another seminary! This
seminary is committed to make a difference in the lives of the students.
At ETS, we are in the ministry of me mending ministers of God with
the Asian culture and context in mind. Our unique features are many.
- A serene campus in a caring environment: The seminary is set up
in a beautiful campus just an hour drive from Bangalore with all the
facilities of a large city, and yet far away from the mad rush and
pollution. The campus is set up as a resort with all the comforts
for a school of higher learning.
- Awesome opportunities for practical theology: The 46 acre
campus consists of a CBSE school, a 35 bed modern hospital, an orphanage,
seminary and residential quarters for staff and students. The
lessons taught at the seminary can be practically applied in the outreach
ministries, such as chaplains at the hospital, teaching Scripture at the
school, nurturing and developing the children of the orphanage or ministry
at many churches.
- Uncompromising academic standards: ETS strives to be at
par with the best seminaries in the country by having the best trained
students. ACA is an autonomous institution with its own degree
granting status. Yet, our goals is to surpass the standards of
accrediting agencies in terms of facilities, quality and academic
requirements. Our curriculum is Bible centered.
- Unquestioning solidarity for evangelicalism: We are
committed to the doctrines clearly stated in detail in our
catalogue. Yet, we are open to the admission of students who may
differ in non-essentials, but committed to the fundamentals of the
evangelical faith.
- Faculty with an unchanging commitment: The resident faculty is
augmented by a host of well qualified visiting faculty who are specialists
in their field. They are committed to the maintenance of biblical
orthodoxy and the development of God fearing servant-leaders who will
influence their generation and culture. Our goal is to provide the
best postgraduate theological training with spiritual emphasis to equip
students for the needs of the twenty-first century.
