Academic Dean
A Word from Prof. John V. Mani
God has immensely blessed this ministry for His glory. He has used this
ministry to equip many to do His work.
Theological education is an integral part of the life of the church. It
has to do with the future life of the church. The apostle Paul writing to
Timothy exhorted him to "entrust the Word to faithful men, who will be able to
teach others also" (II Timothy 2:2). Therefore our task is to equip God's
people for effective Christian ministry. The goal of theological education
is to prepare committed and qualified Christians for the ministry of the church.
God's primary focus during this age is on the church. Therefore it is
imperative that all theological education be designed to help people to do the
ministry of the church.
ACA seminary exists for the very purpose of equipping God's people for
Christian ministry. To accomplish this purpose, the seminary offers two
degree programs, the Master of Biblical Studies which is a two year program, and
the Master of Theology which is a three year program. Only students who
are academically and spiritually qualified are admitted for the course of study.
Admission to these degree programs is given only to candidates holding at least
a bachelor degree in theology or in a secular field. The study programs
are designed to ensure that each student has the ability to carry on his studies
efficiently and successfully. We also offer a Ph.D. degree specially
designed to enrich those who are already involved in the teaching ministry.
Our curriculum is centered around the inerrant Word of God and it is oriented
toward guiding the students in developing skills in interpreting the Word of God
and effectively communicating the same to others. Therefore, great
emphasis is given for the development of exegetical and expositional skills.
A number of courses are offered in biblical languages so that the students will
get a good grasp of the biblical languages of Hebrew and Greek. Bible
Exposition, Systematic Theology, and Expository Preaching are the unique
components of our curriculum. We have a qualified and dedicated faculty
who work hard to develop and implement our educational and spiritual objectives.
We are blessed with seven faculty members who teach regularly at the seminary
and many visiting faculty who come and help us throughout the year. They
not only teach, but also disciple and motivate students to become mature men and
women for God's service.
The Lord has blessed our ministry in so many ways. We are grateful to
the Lord for the many friends who pray for us and faithfully contribute towards
the ministry. It is my prayer that God will continue to bless this
ministry and use the seminary to entrust God's Holy Word to faithful believers
who will teach others. |
