Indian Board
The Asian Christian Academy is governed by an Indian Board. The
American Council serves only as an encouraging and supportive endeavor.
The Indian Board ensures that ACA operates within the provisions of its
charter and the laws of the nation.
We are now living in the new millennium. Science and technology
have advanced and quality of life has improved drastically. Yet, we
are also at a juncture where the distinction between right and wrong appears
to be blurred. Values are eroding fast. Spirituality and
humility are giving way to materialism and arrogance. Even so called
believers are quoting the Word of God out of context in order to justify
their own selfish goals. Philosophies of prosperity and many other
false teachings that are more convenient to present lifestyles are becoming
more and more popular not only in the United States and other Western
countries, but also gaining acceptance here in India.
It is in this context that institutions such as Asian Christian Academy
have a significant role to play. I am immensely pleased that ACA
stands for sound doctrine based on God's Word. ACA's role is
propagating the unpolluted Word is far reaching and commendable.
Let me encourage and exhort the students of ACA, past and present, to
stand for the true and holy Word. When the majority swings the other
way, it demands courage and integrity to stand for truth and justice.
We are not to dilute, bend or twist the Word of God for any reason.
Lust us show great spiritual maturity and discipline while exercising
discretion in spiritual matters. Let our lives speak louder than our
words to the outside world. May Galatians 5:22 be our watchword and
Philippians 4:4-9 be our inspiration.
I thank God for the President, faculty and ACA family for their sincere
and faithful service.
I praise God for the vision, wisdom and leadership He provided the
founders of Asian Christian Academy in establishing a theological seminary
in the year 1976. I also praise God for the gradual progress both
qualitatively and quantitatively. The establishment of a high school,
hospital and orphanage are added achievements and blessings.
Systematic and sincere teaching of the Word of God are essential in our
vast country with such diversity of religions, traditions and cultures.
God said to Moses, "And this Word which I command thee this day shall be in
thine heart; and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children"
(Deuteronomy 6:7). Diligent teaching, diligent learning and diligent
practice are the needs of the day. The focus of our Lord Jesus Christ
was threefold: teaching God's Word, proclaiming the Gospel and discipling on
a global basis (Matthew 28:18-20). I am confident ACA is fulfilling a
part of the Great Commission of our Lord through committed, born-again men
and women throughout the country.
I hope and pray that His divine service may continue effectively until
the day the Church is raptured. |
