Agape Hospital
The location of the Seminary in a rural setting, surrounded by hundreds
of villages, provided an opportunity to meet the needs of the community.
The first attempt to share the compassion of Christ was the Agape Health
Center in 1994. The medical clinic was started with the purpose of
building friendship with the villagers through treating their ailments.
Approximately 30 patients a day received treatment at the clinic.
Two years later, an additional floor was added to the clinic building.
That enlarged the facility to accommodate 7 beds for in-patient care.
A resident surgeon and three nurses staffed the clinic. The staff
provide counsel to the patients both during their stay at the health center
and also after their discharge.
The clinic was enlarged in a major expansion when the Agape Hospital was
built. |
